Overview
Role Purpose To serve as the commercial backbone of the Manchester office and Lancashire operations. Ensuring the seamless delivery of financial administrative functions, supporting compliance with contractual terms, and maintaining a high-performance environment for profitability, subcontractors, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Daily Operations: Manage project cost control, valuations, variations, and monthly CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) reports.
- Compliance Support: Enforce strict adherence to JCT or NEC contracts and maintain audit-ready financial records.
- Team Coordination: Negotiate packages with subcontractors, manage procurement, and certify subcontractor payments.
- Tech Management: Oversee commercial software (e.g., CostX, CauseWay) and digital measurement tools.
- Client Relations: Manage final account negotiations, progress claims, and cost variations with client representatives.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of post-graduate experience in construction & civils
- Regulations: Strong foundational knowledge of RICS standards, JCT/NEC contract suites, and UK construction law.
- IT: Proficiency in specialized cost-estimating software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
